What is the Sitesled Banner Exchange and what does it do ?
The purpose of this banner exchange is for our users to get more
traffic to their site. As a user on this system, the first thing you will
do is upload or link to a banner that represents YOUR website. Secondly,
you will paste a small banner code into your website's html. This code
will display a banner/button from other banner exchange members each
time someone visits your site. Each time you display a banner fromo ur network
your website, your banner will be shown on another website in the network.
Standard Banner (468x60) - Your banner will get 1 exposure on our banner exchange network for EACH single banner exposure that occurs on your site. If you rack up 40 banner
exposures in 1 day, your banner will have been shown 40 times across our network. The
traffic return from this size is awesome! You're banner will instantly be on 100s of users
sites.
Standard Button (120x60) - Your banner will get 1 exposure on our banner exchange network for EACH single banner exposure that occurs on your site. If you rack up 40 banner
exposures in 1 day, your banner will have been shown 40 times across our network. The
traffic return from this size makes it worth adding to your high traffic pages!
Tile Button (77x30) - Your banner will get 1 exposure on our banner exchange network for EACH single banner exposure that occurs on your site. If you rack up 40 micro-button
exposures in 1 day, your banner will have been shown 40 times across our network.
Example: you could put 3 tile buttons, 1 standard button, and 1 standard banner
on a page.. and when someone visited that page it would count as 5 exposures!
Extra Credits:
Your account will be credited with an extra 50 exposures each time someone from
your site click on a banner exchange link.
If a banner is clicked, the link is opened in a new window, so you still keep your traffic.
How to get started:
Click on the "Join Now" link at the top of this page.
Enter your info on the signup page. "Style" can be changed later. It is just
a cosmetic option. Once you've entered all your information, hit the "Submit" button.
Check your email. After you submitted the signup form an automated email
was sent to your signup email address containing a validation code. Click the
link in the validation email to activate your account.
When you click the link in the email it will take you to a page where it tells
you that your account has been created. Click on the "Continue" button.
Now you are located in your Banner Exchange control panel. You can
select many options from the Drop Down Menu in the upper right hand corner.
The first thing you need to do is configure a banner and/or button image for your
site in the banner exchange system. This will be the image that is displayed on sites
of other sitesled members who are part of the banner exchange.
How to configure your sites banner and/or button images
If you are not already logged into the system, please log in by
clicking the "Login" at the top of this page.
Click the Drop Down Menu in the upper right hand corner of the
screen.
Select an Ad size to configure. Since the 468x60 format is the most popular,
produces the highest click-thrus, and has the highest return ratio on our network;
we recommend configuring this size first. Select "-Edit Ads" from the drop down
menu under "Standard Banner 468x60" category.
On this page you will need to select which categories best match your site so that
your banner will be displayed on those types of sites.
Under the category selection area is space to configure up to 4 different ads for
this particular size. You do NOT have to configure each ad. The system will only
use what you configure, so if you only have 1 banner ad and wish to leave the other
3 spots empty that is fine. If you do decide to use multiple banners, you can "weight"
your banners differently so that Banner A is shown 2 times more than Banner B.
URL is the target URL for your banner. This is where people are sent whenever they click on the banner/button you are configuring.
BANNER is the area to link to your banner. Type the full URL of your banner image, or upload your banner to our system by clicking the browse button next to the Banner text box.
Alt is text that will be displayed while your banner is loading to users on slower systems. Just
putting your site's name here is usually good enough.
Whenever you have completed these steps, scroll down and click the "Save" button.
Repeat these steps to add additional banners/buttons to our system. Please email us if you have

Putting the Banner Code In Your Website:
Once you have logged into the Link Exchange System you can select "Get HTML Code" from which ever banner size you need. If you have configured a 468x60 banner image make sure that the banner code you get to paste on your site the same size.
