He is the man that Emir saw in his past.
He is a professional killer,a hitman that operates within the criminal underworld.

Harmin Smith is an individual who has the uncanny ability to perform a ritual dubbed as the
"Multifoliate Personae Phenomenon".
He can absorb,maintain,and transform into several personae that all exist parallel to
each other; their identities and their bodies keep their individuality,
yet they are bound to each other.
The following are reported methods of the process that Harman Smith undergoes

(1) He can only absorb corpses that meet unknown requirements
for compatibility.

(2) When Harman's consciousness recognizes that a corpse is
compatible with Harman, the corpse transforms into thousands
of small particles, which Harman's body absorbs.

(3) Incredibly, the absorbed body exists within Harman--with its
own personality completely intact!

(4) When a persona becomes manifested, Harman's physical form
changes completely,Harman's mental qualities change, too,
adopting the total personality associated with the body.

It is not know whether this a biological deformity or a supernatural occurence.
"Multifoliate Personae Phenomenon" bares similarities to "Disassociative Identity Disorder"
Harman took in a young man named Emir Parkreiner at the roof of the Union Hotel,the night of the Killer 7 murders.
In his eyes Emir was one of the very few assassins with class.
Though a bit out of control. Emir was no longer a mortal being. Ever so quietly evil had opened it's eyes.

Emir

He was the ace of aces.
Emir's killer prowess is so impecable that he managed to flawlessly pull off the assassination
& murder of six individuals staying at the Union Hotel.
What's even more remarkable is the fact that Emir was only a mere 13 yr. old when he commited the job.
It was a deliberate crime targeted toward the Smith Alliance.
It consisted of seven members,but the leader wasn't included in the seven.
Later investigations found his dead body inside the safe of a school.
The investigative unit called them... The Killer 7.

But the whole affair was never made public.
Not because this was an aberration from society.
But because it invovled national security issues.
Unfortunately a curse brought upon Emir,by old tradition.
Emir is an assassin controlled by the government,someone is always watching his every move.
You know Emir very well,for he is none other than the original identity of
Garcian Smith.

That's right Garcian Smith himself is yet another persona of Emir.
A facade created by Emir Parkreiner to escape the truth of the grisly murders that he had commited as a 13 yr. old.
The so called Killer 7 were all anihilated by Emir.
The Killer 7 have been recreated to ease Emir of the psychological pain that he endured during the Union Hotel incident.
For you see he suffers from a lack of mental stability,
and has what is commonly known as
"Disassociative Identity Disorder"= "Multiple personalities that are created when the patient believes them
to exist outside of himself.
Ex: A patient may have a personality named John and another named Eric; John and Eric believe that each exists in
another body apart from each other."

Due to the traumatic experience of the Union hotel murders,
Emir devised a new identity for himself.
His new identity seperated & severed consciously from Emir's original identity.
Through the new identity as Garcian Smith, Emir had lost contact with his very own
perceptions, self-awareness, and memory.
This process further escalated as he created personae
for each of the victims that he had murdered that faithful night.
As the conception of the Killer 7 began to emerge,
each of their respective personae piled up inside Emir.
The Killer 7 stacked one persona on top of the other before,
burying Emir's original identity at the bottom.

Killer 7 are the remnant pshyces that have been shielding him from the truth that Emir had wished to forget.
Harman Smith on the other hand has a relation to Garcian that transcends much deeper than that...
Garcian is originally a persona of Harman Smith,
therefore Garcian is also able to tap into the ritual known as Multifoliate Personae Phenomenon.
This is the celestial like ability to morph & become an entirely new entity.
Emir's fictional reality began to collapse due to the deaths of both Samantha Sitbon & Chris Mills.
Shortly after a series of events transpired that ultimately led up to dismantling the illusion of Emir's charade.
He had came face to face with his past,and finally embraced who he truly was. Emir Parkreiner,now rid of the other seven personae that has been living life in his stead,
Has became reacquainted with his viciously suave,bloodthirsty killer instinct.

I'll let you in on a little known secret that is only known to those who have acess to above top secret clearance.
It is believed that the general area where Coburn Elementary is located is where the presidential elections originate.
The first president of the US was the principal of this school.
We are taught that,we the people of North America have the ability & freedom to decide who becomes president of the United States.
The reality is that the presidents next in line to lead are already predetermined before the voteing process even began.
Presidential elections are a charade.
A public show that has been ochestrated to create the illusion of a government composed by the general populace.
In other words they are rigged from the start.

The principal of Coburn is also the education secretary.
Before votes are made final, the ministry of education performs a recount.
The decision of who becomes the president of the United States is dependant on how the education secretary counts the votes.
In a way the Education Secretary is the most powerful man in the country.

There's is one more detail that I feel you should know about...
Coburn Elementary is an institution controlled by a foreign government,Japan.
Coburn Elementary subtley teaches it's students under Japanese nationalistic ideals.
They are trained to be elite government agents.
Graduates become high postioned politicians of the United States,
and a few are recruited to be Yakumo party members.
Those who become a new Yakumo recruit are selected to infiltrate the United States
government to give Japan the upper hand in information warfare.

Emir Parkreiner is a product of the Yakumo doctrine that was being taught in Coburn.
He was trained to be an elite agent for the government...an assassin,
for the way of the Yakumo.

During the 2nd part of "Smile",The Young Harman Smith a pshyce of Emir violently gunned down both Kun Lan & Harman.
Or in other words erased them from Emir's mind. Kun Lan & Harman's metaphoric game of chess remains unfinished with both sides on check.
It's all up to Emir to decide the outcome of the game,as he's the one holding all the pieces now.

Kenjiro Matsuoka's death singnifies the end of a Japanese threat of terrorism.
Matsuoka was Japan's last hope of survival.
Without his influence over the voting process,Japan just doesn't have the means neccesary
to gather enough international support to attack the U.S.A.

Choosing to let him live means that you have stayed true to your roots as an assassin for the Japanese government.
As such Matsuoka finally shows signs of respect for you,and greets you in his mother tongue.

With the political power of Matsuken's "unshakable vote" he is able to garner enough support to convince the U.N. to launch an attack on the U.S.
Effectively starting WW III,right where WW II ended...Japan v.s. U.S.A.
Except this time Japan is supported with the U.N. alliance as the offensive & the U.S.A. on the defensive.
This marks the first time ever in history that the U.S.A. has ever had to defend a full frontal assault on their homeland.
Seems now they will feel the brunt of what Europe has endured during the first two World Wars.
ECONOMIC COLLAPSE,& utter calamity.



Which choice is right?

None of them are.
Both choices are nothing more than opposite sides of the same coin.
They are as equally wrong or valid as you want them to be
Either way you look at it the Heaven Smile gets eradicated anyway.
It matters not,whether Japan gets destroyed once & for all by the U.S.A.,or
the U.S.A. being plunged to the Dark Ages,finally experiencing what a true war for survival feels like.
It matters not,because the world keeps on turning.

Kun Lan & Harman are brought together again for another game of war.

Who or what is the 10 million secret Japanese members that Chris Mills alludes to?

A few moments before Chris Mills was shot he relayed information
about how Matsuken held the control & loyalty of 10 million secret Japanese members scattered across the globe.
The term "Japanese members" doesn't exactly imply that they're actually Japanese.
It refers to individuals who were brought up under Japanese ideals
& doctrine either naturally or through subliminal messages.
One such facility that is like a factory for children of this upbring would be the Coburn Elementary Institute.
Since Elementary schools are attended by mostly kids & young teens they have the easiest minds to influence,t
herefore it would be a cinch to implant thoughts into their brains of who to vote on.
(Schools have the most ballot booths.)
The irony of Coburn is that the building is one of the U.S.A.'s most important factors in deciding on who becomes the next president,
but at the same time it's also secretly used as a breeding ground by the Japanese government to train kids utilizing
Japanese wartime WW II education methods into becoming assassins,key political figures,etc.
for the Japanese goverment to infiltrate the U.S.A. under the guise as American democrats & republicans.
Garcian Smith was one of the individuals that was educated at Coburn Elementary,which could explain his Japanese mannerisms.

What happened during target Sunset?

When Fukushima was killed,
the party briefly fell into chaos.
Fukushima was supposed to attend the Japan-U. S. meeting in the Kaku Building; in his place,
the Liberal Party sent its members.
Negotiations between the Liberal Party and the U. S. Government had concluded well before the meeting in the Kaku Building,
so the meeting was intended to be a mere formality.
Unexpectedly, the U. S. Government broke off negotiations; as a result,
both sides ended up killing each other.

Why did the Liberal Party intervene?

When the Liberal Party learned about Fukushima's annulment of the Asian Security Treaty,
they sent Julia Kisugi to assassinate him.
As well, Kisugi was instructed to retrieve the Yakumo.
The Liberal Party wanted to reclaim control of the Japanese Government,
to protect the Japanese people's interests.
It regarded Fukushima's action as reckless.
Since the Liberal Party desired a more complex relationship of support with the United States,
it was only natural that they should try to assassinate the leader of their Japanese competition.

Kasai asked the Killer7 to eliminate Jean DePaul.
He wanted the Japan/U. S. Government meeting in the Kaku Building to succeed,
in order to strengthen the security treaty.

Fukushima, however, had known for years that the U. S. Government was plotting against Japan.
He took his anti-U. S. position in preparation.

What was implied by the true "test of Japan's value"?

Jeffers (The caucasian) and Dudley (The African American) --the U. S. representatives at the meeting in the Kaku Building--
were sent to the meeting in order to break off negotiations with Japan.
They were expendable pawns,
who were sent to end the negotiations by killing the Japanese representatives--and being killed themselves.

As a result, Japan was thrown into total chaos.
Some wondered whether Japan's disorder was the President and the U. S. Government's intention from the start.
However, the President's delay in response was due to the prolonged settlement on the distribution of Japan's land and natural resources,
with European countries.

The true "test of Japan's value" for the U. S. Government was nothing more than determining what benefit the U. S. would recieve from Japan's destruction.
If the U. S. had received fewer concessions and benefits from Japan's destruction,
the Fireworks are likely to have been launched.

What is Jean DePaul's objective?

The International Ethics Committee sent Jean DePaul to Restaurant Fukushima with orderst to eliminate Kisugi,
to destroy Japan's Liberal Party.
(If Fukushima was allowed to live, Japan's isolation would be maintained.)
The rationale behind sending DePaul to the Kaku Building was similar:
to break off the negotiation by killing members of Japan's Liberal Party,
who wanted to extend the security treaty.
However, DePaul encountered MASK De Smith before he reached the meeting room;
DePaul's mission failed.
His life was wasted,
since the IEC's desires were fulfilled without the need for their intervention.

What is Julia Kisugi's objective?

Julia Kisugi was hired by the Liberal Party and sent to the United States,
to retrieve the Yakumo.
She was hired as a secretary by Toru Fukushima,
who she later killed.
However, the Yakumo had been taken by Jean DePaul
(a spy from the International Ethics Committee),
who had taken work in Fukushima's restaurant as an apprentice to the head chef.

The whereabouts of the Yakumo were unknown, after that.
However, it was rumoured that a young mail clerk in a small Texan town named Andrei Ulmeyda had found part of the Yakumo, somehow.
Ulmeyda established a company called "First Life." As his company grew,
he employed most of the town's residents.
"First Life" developed the town and became much more than a simple business.

The Asian Security Protocol

One of the primary causes of international conflict is the limited number of energy resources,
in conjunction with different economic systems and environmental concerns.

In 1975, in Hakone, Japan, an international conference met to find solutions to energy security problems,
specifically as they related to Asian countries.
The Hakone Protocol contained three different possible routes:

[1] The Pipe Plan. This plan was advantageous to oil
producing countries in the Middle East.

[2] The Civic Plan: This plan was advantageous for China and
its allied countries, all of whom had a high dependency on
coal.

[3] The Massive Plan: This plan was advantageous for the
United States and Europe, who desired oil concessions from
the Middle East.

One of these three plans was adopted by the countries who
attended and voted during the international conference.
However, there was no formal announcement regarding which of
the three plans was selected.

International Mass-Scale Transportation System

The United Nations feared that it could no longer control the international market,
owing to the hastened development of means of distribution of materials.
Therefore, it enacted greater restrictions on the air transportation industry.

Additionally, research institutes reported that an unknown virus was transported via airplanes;
this virus had the potential to spark a global epidemic.
A decline in the use of airlines was inevitable.
In order to replace air transportation, a network of "Intercontinental Expressways" was planned for construction.

After the construction of the Intercontinental Expressways,
a next-generation distribution system was slated for construction,
using the Intercontinental Expressways as their foundation.
For its successful operation, a newly discovered power source would be used to move a a gigantic metal plate across the sea floor.
The plate would have a base area of several kilometers.
This next-generation distribution system was called the "Intercontinental Mass-Scale Transportation System."

Construction of the new transportation system began in 2003; by 2005,
forty percent of the project had been completed.
As of the events of Killer7, construction continues.
Many politicians became rich from under-the-table concessions granted to private corporations,
who supplied materials for the large-scale construction.

As of 2005, the project had concluded its experimental phase.
It was proven workable.
However, nations still struggle between each other, over concessions promised at the beginning of the project,
regarding the maintenance of the infrastructure.
