FISHER SECURE 4 OUT OF 4 TO GO TOP Fisher where playing arguably there toughest opponents so far in Wellingborough old grammarians at woods end park, there third game in a row at home. Tough is exactly what it proved to be in a slack, goalless first half from fisher. Coach Kelly kept with the same line up as the last outing, Rooney as goal tender and sticking with three half backs Scrivs, Eddie and Scotty Mcblain; Oakes and Steve where the wide receivers either side of Scotty Davanagh, Dockland and Sir Bash, Jack and Gibby provided the offence. Young Bash returned to the bench after being on the treatment table last week with Cam and Steve ( cant help being sick) Melvin. As I was saying it was a far from an impressive start in the first half from fisher with the game a midfield hay maker and tackles flying in left, right and centre and it soon became clear that grammarians where not here to play football. Rooney was the most confident Ive seen him all season as he was catching every long ball coming his way and HE IS IMPROVING WITH EVERY GAME THAT PASSES. Docs had a chance to send jack through on goal but held on far to long and the chance passed. In fact its pretty hard to try and remember one clear cut chance in the first half as both teams looked nervous. H/T 0-0 SECOUND HALF With the rain that poured in the first half the surface became skidy and the game started to open up as the ball started to zip about the place, this suited fisher down to the ground as they started to set about grammarians with more determination than the first half. The first half chance fell to young Oakes when he latched on to a rebounded shot and caught the keeper back tracking to his line but only to see his effort go way over the bar. Jack was starting to get more involved in play and his trickery was getting to the opposing defence. Finally the brake through came, I think it was Davanagh who played in docs on the edge of the box and the finish from dockland was marvellous to say the least, low and hard in to the near post, what away to silence the critics (Adie) who had been on his back all game. Well lads here is the tricky part I cant remember a fecking thing about the other three goals so if you want to hound me in the guest book by all means do so coz all I know is gibby scored two wonderful goals and jack rounded off a 4-0 second half route. It was a much, much better second half and coach Adie was delighted in his after match debriefing at the press conference stating the lads new they had to do better after the rollicking they got at half time, it shows great spirit to go out and perform like that for me. And who knows maybe the tash will come off . Well paddy power certainly thinks so when he stated and I quote one more win for the fisher and I will be forced to pay out early . Well done lads HARD WORK means HARD PLAY so it was back to the fisher for sausage and chips.
