EQUIN VILLAGE BACKSTORY
Welcome to the land of the Xtoli, a race of warrior-like people that resemble a cross between a
shark and a rabbit. They have grey, leathery skin and pupil-less yellow eyes. Males have large, rabbit-like ears
while females have small, bulldog-like ears. They are a spiritual people but also very lean and strong, with great
ability to build stone castles and houses, as well as the forging of weaponry and making wooden boats.
Both men and women are considered equal in their society, which is overseen by the regional army, The
Xtoli Guard Army, or XGA for short, is ruled solely by Lord Kul from inside his stone castle.
In the past years, there have been many great disasters that have taken place but now there
is a rare period of peacetime. To celebrate this peacetime (and keep his people occupied) the ruler
of the land, Lord Kul, started an annual hunt for all men and women to take place in. The goal is to see who
can slay the mightiest beast within the time allotted, which is 30 days. Whoever brings in the mightiest beast
wins the competition and bragging rights. From the nearby village a group of 6 brothers and sisters gather in
the local tavern and prepare to enter the contest..
